Terms of Service

These terms apply to moatool (moatool.app and all its subdomains, "the Service"). Effective 31 August 2026.

1. What the Service is

The Service provides file conversion and editing tools. All processing runs inside your own web browser; no file is uploaded to a server. The operator therefore cannot see which files you process and does not store them. See the Privacy Policy and security explanation.

2. Who can use it

There is no sign-up or login, so anyone may use the Service. Minors may use the free tools, but a paid subscription requires a guardian's consent where local law requires it.

3. Pricing

4. Your responsibilities

5. About the results

The tools are provided as is. Results may differ or fail depending on your browser, device and file format, and the operator makes no warranty as to accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Always keep your original files before using the output for anything important.

6. Intellectual property

The Service's interface, wording and code belong to the operator. Open-source software used by the Service is governed by its own licences, listed at Open-source notices.

Files you process, and the results, remain entirely yours. The operator never accesses them and claims no rights over them.

7. Changes and discontinuation

Tools may be added, changed or withdrawn. Material changes affecting paying subscribers will be announced in advance. If the Service is shut down, subscribers receive either a refund or continued access for the period already paid for.

8. Limitation of liability

The operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service except in cases of intent or gross negligence. Where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you stronger rights, that law prevails. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable law guarantees you.

9. Changes to these terms

Changes are posted on this page with an effective date. Changes unfavourable to users are announced at least 30 days in advance, and you may cancel your subscription if you disagree.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are resolved by agreement where possible; otherwise before the court having jurisdiction under Korean civil procedure (consumers may sue in the court of their own residence).
