Privacy Policy

moatool (moatool.app and all of its subdomains, the "Service") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we do — and, more importantly, what we do not do — with your data. (Effective date: 29 August 2026)

1. We do not collect your files or your input

Every conversion and processing feature in the Service runs entirely inside your own web browser. The files you choose, the text you type, and any photos or recordings you capture are never transmitted to a server and are never stored or collected anywhere. You can disconnect from the internet and the tools still work.

2. Information that may be collected automatically

• The Service uses Cloudflare infrastructure to deliver its content. As part of that, your IP address and browser information may be handled in the form of standard web server logs.
• If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, a consent banner is shown before any advertising cookies are used. It is provided through a Google-certified consent tool and lets you accept, decline, or choose per purpose. Declining does not restrict any feature of the site — you simply see non-personalised ads instead. You can change your choice at any time from the banner.
• The Service may use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google may use advertising cookies to show ads based on your previous visits, and you can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.

3. Cookies

The Service itself has no sign-up or login, and sets no tracking cookies of its own. It stores only a light preference cookie for your light/dark theme choice, and — if you buy moatool Pro — a cookie holding your licence key so your plan is recognised across moatool sites. Cookies set by advertising and infrastructure providers are covered by section 2 above.

4. Payments

Payments for moatool Pro are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card details are entered on their systems and are never seen or stored by moatool. We only verify the licence key issued after a purchase.

5. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
