Rotate PDF

Rotate every page or only the pages you pick. Your file is never uploaded.

0 B uploaded — this page has not sent your files anywhere?

Private by design — this tool never uploads your files anywhere. Everything runs inside your browser, and the finished file is saved straight to your device.

Other conversion sites upload your file to a server, process it there, and say they delete it after a while. Until that happens, your file sits on someone else’s server. Here there is no upload step at all. The more sensitive the file — contracts, ID scans, medical records — the more that difference matters. See how to verify it →

Turn a sideways or upside-down PDF the right way up, permanently

A document a scanner read in landscape or a page photographed on a phone often opens in a direction that makes you tilt your head. This tool rotates every page, or only the ones you list, by 90° clockwise, 180° or 90° counterclockwise and saves a new PDF. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

A closer look

Rotation does not redraw the page; it changes each page’s rotation attribute. The new angle is added to whatever was already there, so a page stored with 90° that you turn clockwise 90° ends up recorded as 180°. Text, images and quality are untouched, the file size barely changes, and the saved orientation looks the same in every viewer and on every printer. Rotating in a viewer’s View menu only lasts until you close the file; a rotation saved here stays in the file.

One run applies one angle. Leave “Pages” empty and every page turns; type “2, 5-7” and only those pages turn by that angle. If some pages need 90° and others 180°, run the tool a second time on the result, or use Organize PDF, where you press ↻ on each thumbnail individually. A PDF with an open password has to be unlocked before it will open.

How to use it

When it helps

A contract scanned on its sideTurn the whole file 90° clockwise so it reads upright when submitted.
A few pages fed in upside downType “3, 8” and rotate just those two pages by 180°.
Phone-captured documentsFix a page that was shot in portrait but saved in landscape.
Duplex printingLine every page up the same way so the back sides do not print upside down.

Common snags

It says “Please check the page range”.The Pages field contains a number beyond the last page, or a character other than digits, commas and hyphens. Re-enter it within the page count shown in the message.
I rotated and now it looks worse. The page already carried a rotation and the angles added up. Open the result and rotate once more the other way: the opposite of Clockwise 90° is Counterclockwise 90°.
I need different angles on different pages. This tool applies a single angle per run. Run it again on the result for the second group, or use Organize PDF, which rotates pages one at a time with ↻.
Word opens it in the old orientation. Some applications ignore the page rotation attribute and import the underlying drawing as is. PDF viewers and printers respect it, so viewing and printing as PDF is unaffected.

Tip Before sending the result, open the first and last pages. Scans frequently contain one or two flipped pages in the middle, and a second run on just those numbers fixes them.

FAQ

Can I rotate only the upside-down pages?

Yes. Type just those page numbers into "Pages" (e.g. 2, 5-7). Leave it empty to rotate every page.

Is the rotation saved permanently?

Yes — the downloaded PDF stores the new orientation, so it opens the right way up in any viewer or printer.
