DOCX to PDF
The standard Word format since 2007 (.docx) to PDF. Your files are never uploaded to a server.
.docx · Free · No sign-up · No size limit
DOCX has been the standard Word format since 2007. Line breaks and tables tend to shift depending on which Word version or fonts the recipient has, but once you turn it into a PDF it keeps the same look wherever it is opened. That is why resumes, quotes and contracts are sent as PDF.
The moatool converter never uploads your document. A real office engine runs inside your browser to build the PDF, so even sensitive files stay on your device and there is no size limit.
How to convert DOCX to PDF
DOCX has been the Word standard since 2007, but line breaks and tables tend to shift depending on which Word version or installed fonts the recipient has. Fixing it as a PDF makes it the same document wherever it is opened.
How to convert
- Click Open converter above to open the office converter. The conversion engine (LibreOffice) gets ready once in the background the first time.
- Drag a .docx file in, or pick it with Choose file. The file is not uploaded — it stays inside your browser.
- Press Convert to PDF and it is built right on your device and saved. From the second time on, the engine is cached and starts instantly.
When to use it
Tip Fonts missing from your device are swapped for similar ones, so check the fonts and tables once after converting an important document.

Frequently asked questions
Will my fonts change?
If the fonts used in the document are installed on your device, they are kept as is. Missing fonts are swapped for similar ones, so check important documents once after converting. Korean fonts are supported too.
Are equations, tables and images kept?
Yes. Tables, images and bullet points carry over as they are. Complex equations or unusual formatting may occasionally shift position, so check the result.
Is there a file size limit?
No. Because nothing is uploaded to a server there is no upload cap; the only limit is your device memory.
Why is the first run slow?
The office engine is downloaded once the first time. After that it starts right away — you are downloading the engine, not sending your document.
Does my file go to a server?
No. A real office engine runs inside your browser to make the PDF, so contracts and HR files stay on your device.
